This is a village where the houses are set on the hilltops and the view is vast, the chimneys are ideal as chambers for smoked meats and the walls divide groves of olives and oranges. By day, nature calls you to long walks to discover sanctuaries to the Lusitanian god Endovélico, the thousands of megalithic dolmens and fortified settlements, or simply the calm waters of the ecosystem of the Lucefit reservoir.

Accustomed to looking at the stars, at night or on festival days popular poets compete in improvised rhymes, inspired by their wit and their experience of a life that is simple but rich in its humanity.
